ROME-CARTERSVILLE

DEVELOPMENT CORRIDOR

Case Study:

The Rome-Cartersville Development Corridor (RCDC) has been one of our firm’s most important endeavors, leading a team to conduct environmental and public involvement services across more than six years for Georgia DOT. The RCDC is a new connector highway proposed in Bartow County, from the current US 411 interchange at Joe Frank Harris Parkway northeast to Old Grassdale Road with a new I-75 interchange. The firm led agency coordination, NEPA studies, community impact assessment, and public involvement while overseeing team members with expertise in other key disciplines. The Environmental Assessment was signed in August 2022, followed by a creative outreach effort ahead of the final environmental approval in February 2023. The project is a finalist for the Georgia Partners for Transportation Quality 2023 Environmental Award. More project details and periodic updates will appear on our blog.
